Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ...

Just wanted to get that off my chest. I've just changed my e-mail to outlook and have been fighting with it all day.

I've put some new pics on the website today: Baines Endowed School. In the Gallery: Burn Naze Crossing c1907 and The Avenue, Thornton Church. I haven't seen the ones in the gallery before so hope you like them.

Now for the Sunday Quiz ...

Where in Thornton am I ?

  2. I don't think you needed your sun screen today but I think it's been quite a nice spring day. When are you going to release the geophys for your hill?

  3. When I'm allowed. I have to double-check with the committee first. There's a meeting on Wednesday, but I think the geophys is going to be kept under wraps for a while longer yet. We don't want treasure hunters ruining the site, you see.

  7. ion the row I've been looking at the photo's of the mill, you mentioned that the 1st house is now an hairdressers, The last house used to be Richards Ironmongers known locally as "The Keller Shop"(Old name for paraffin)Incidentally the Blacksmith was at 4 Lanes ends I think its still called the Forge (next to the big house on the corner)in my time was Dr Whileys home and, surgery, latterly an old folks home. the old stables at the back caught fire a few years ago

  8. Hi James

I will add the ironmongers shop onto the site tomorrow. I know which house you mean at Four Lane Ends and will have to take a closer look at it now. It's amazing how many places you drive past without really noticing them.
