The museum is dedicated to the history of rural craft, industry and agriculture of the Fylde area and what a gem it is.
Around the central display area are individual exhibits of shops, houses and interesting artifacts.
Each exhibit is themed with everything from a telephone exchange to a cheese makers and the exhibits continue on the upper floor. It's a bit worrying though when you go to a museum and recognise a lot of the things on show!
Welcome back Melanie hope you had the good weather we did. i need to get up to farmer par,s next week some time.
ReplyDeleteYou didn't take a photograph of the Wyre Archaeology cabinet. (Actually, it's not so much a display as where we stuff all the equipment when we can't be bothered taking it home and cluttering the house up.)
ReplyDeleteI'll be up there tomorrow morning, in fact, bright and early picking the dumpy up for the Sunday excavation.
We didn't do much of Farmer Parrs to be honest but the Museum was much better than I thought it would be. We had a good look at the Wyre Archaeology cabinet though but no I didn't take a picture .. sorry
